The ability to take fish home is one of the main reasons people choose to fish at El Capitan for salmon and halibut. We feel that fish should be treated with the highest quality of care from the time it comes on board the boat until the last package is taken out of your freezer at home months later.
All trips at El Capitan include professional processing of your fish. This consists of cleaning your catch and cutting it into usable proportions, placing it in labeled 4mm bags which is then vacuum packed and placed into our sub zero walk-in freezer for a quick freeze to preserve freshness.
FISHING OUTLINE CALENDAR
Salmon, Halibut and Rockfish are the primary fish that we catch throughout the summer. Kings range from 20 – 90 lbs.; Silver Salmon range from 8 – 20 lbs. Halibut come in all sizes averaging 25-40 lbs with some tipping the scales at over 200 lbs. Rockfish is a term used to describe a variety of delicious species including Yellow Eye, Black Sea Bass and Lingcod, which can be over 55 lbs. in our area.
