Our semi-custom 28′ aluminum North River Boats feature a fully enclosed & heated cabin with air-ride pneumatic seats for everyone on board. Each are outfitted with twin 225hp Mercury quiet 4-stroke outboard engines, a full Lowrance Electronics HDS Carbon electronics network with GPS Chart plotter, Sonar, Color Radar, and live XM Weather and XM Radio.

With safety our first priority, every boat in our fleet is not only equipped with current USCG safety equipment, but also an AED (defibrillator), live satellite tracking and communication device, and a direct link to the USGC providing GPS distress locating at the push of a button.

Add to this equipment our experienced captains, miles of uncrowded, highly productive fishing grounds and you’re ready to experience a life-changing Alaska fishing adventure.

El Capitan has a North River boat fleet of 7 boats, with two always dedicated as spares. This ensures that in the rare instance one of our boats has a mechanical issue, we can provide a quick safe transfer on the fishing grounds to a spare boat with minimal fishing time sacrificed.

Our belief in providing only the best fishing equipment continues with our G. Loomis rods and Shimano reels. After years of study, we believe the Shimano 600LC for halibut and Shimano 500LC for salmon provide our guests the greatest opportunity to boat every fish that strikes.
