Wow! What an experience El Capitan Lodge was! I don’t know where to start – everything being so fantastic! The cabins, the boats, the delicious meals, the hors d’oeuvres, the gear, and every single staff member, were without fault.

It is 5:00 Monday evening, I am home and have all of my fish unpacked. It is always good to be home even after an incredible experience like I just enjoyed over the last few days. As a business owner for over 40 years I know the attention to detail required to meet the standards which I saw and experienced at El Capitan Lodge. These operational traits and the culture surrounding the operation is established by and comes from the top (you guys, the owners) and pervades down through the entire organization. By day three he actually had me reeling in a beautiful king salmon. I’m sure he was as shocked as I was! He talked me through every single catch. I’m betting he would have traded places with any of the other captains after day one but he stuck with us and we feel like we’ve made a new friend. We had such fun and laughed so much! What more could anyone ask for?

The second person was Sheri on the Island Air side of the Island. We had a 12:30 flight back to Portland so we had a while to wait. When we got to the airport she assured us that it would be OK to go up to the lounge and not to worry about our bags or fish. She said we should just come on down around 10:30 and get our stuff checked in then.
When we came down to get them, there they were each persons on a cart with the right bags AND FISH BOXES. They were all lined up and ready to go. We were all just blown away by that.
All of the people you have are exceptional and my crew just can’t stop talking about the whole trip. I just wanted to pass along my thoughts before summer gets the best of me.
